- Identify a geometrical figure using geometry vocabulary
- Name geometrical elements and describing their features
- Draw various figures given a set of characteristics
- Find the area and perimeter of geometrical object
- Use geometry in the real world such as in map reading, architecture, and more!
Students have been given a set of requirements for completing this assignment. Students will be graded on their work using a rubric. There will be points given based on neatness, teamwork, work ethic, and accuracy.

The Project
- Road Developer: Will be in charge of designing the road layout
- Architect: Will be in charge of designing the buildings
- Proposal Author: Will write out the proposal that will be presented to the panel. Should highlight the important parts of city.
- Project Manager: Ensures that everyone works together and that all requirements are being included.
2. Develop a plan on paper for your city. You city needs to include:
- 2 pairs of parallel roads
- 2 perpendicular roads
- Streets should be named using geometric terms
- At least 4 buildings that are based on geometric shapes.
- the area of the base for each shape should be provided
- the volume of each shape should be included
- Extra attractions (for example: playgrounds, signs) that use polygons and the different types of angles. (straight, right, obtuse, acute, reflex)
- There should be at least 5 angles measured and labeled through the city.
